Anand Nambiar

Anand Nambiar is the Head of Discovery Solutions for the Life Science business of Merck. In this role, he oversees commercial geographies, marketing, product management, research, as well as eCommerce, strategy, and services for the Biology and Chemistry portfolios. He is based in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.

Anand brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience. He joined the company in 2014 following the acquisition of AZ Electronic Materials and has since held several senior roles, including Managing Director of India, Global Head of Semiconductor Materials, Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Formulations for the Electronics business and, most recently, Head of Science and Lab Solutions for the Life Science business. In these roles, he led major growth initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and M&A activity, scaling businesses and driving operational excellence.

Before joining the company, Anand held senior roles in the semiconductor industry across Asia and North America, including leadership positions at Nikon and Cascade Microtech.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, U.S.
