It is widelyused as a photocatalyst in electrochemical water-splitting reactions and alsofinds application in the field of photovoltaics, sensors, and environmentalremediation.

Application

Titanium(IV) oxide can be used as a photocatalyst for an overall water-splitting reaction. It can also be used as an efficient catalyst for phenol degradation under visible light.
