Iridium(III) chloride is a crystalline inorganic solid with excellent electrical conductivity and good transmission in the infrared range. It is used in the field of catalysis and nanomaterial synthesis.

Application

Iridium(III) chloride can be used:
  • As a precursor to synthesize Iridium nanoparticles.
  • As a starting material synthesize Iridium complexes that can be used to fabricate OLEDs.
  • As a catalyst for the ring opening of epoxidesby aryl, heterocyclic, or aliphatic amines.
