General description

Iron(III) sulfate pentahydrate, also known as ferric sulfate pentahydrate, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Fe2(SO4)3·5H2O. It typically appears as a beige-yellow to white crystalline/powder solid. We offer Iron(III) sulfate pentahydrate, with a purity of ≥99.9% trace metals basis, with controlled quality control of impurities such as Chloride ≤ 20 ppm, NO3 <20 ppm, and trace metals ≤ 1000 ppm.

Application

Iron(III) Sulfate Pentahydrate, ≥99.9% trace metals basis is designed for a variety of industrial, environmental, and agricultural applications due to its strong oxidizing properties and effectiveness as a coagulant. It can be used as an etchant in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs), where it helps in the removal of unwanted copper layers. In an experimentron(III) Sulfate has been used as a catalyst for the synthesis of N-alkylbenzamides. [] It is suitable in dental research applications such as pulpotomy. Experiments have concluded Ferric sulfate produces a local but reversible inflammatory response in oral soft tissues without toxic or harmful effects. [] Iron(III) sulfate pentahydrate is widely used as a coagulant in water treatment to remove suspended particles, organic matter, and other impurities from water. It promotes the aggregation of fine particles, making them easier to filter out. []

Features and Benefits

With a purity of ≥99.9% and minimal trace metal impurities, the product is ideal for use in sensitive processes where contamination must be strictly controlled. The high purity ensures consistent performance, which is essential in research and production environments that require reproducibility and precision.
