General description

Autoantibody formation is principal to the pathogenesis of a variety of autoimmune diseases. Dysregulated apoptosis and the subsequent defective clearance of cellular debris leads to the exposure of autoantigens and the generation of autoantibodies. The presence of autoantibodies may indicate disease activity, prognosis, and clinical associations related to a variety of autoimmune diseases. These autoimmune diseases include, but are not limited to, Sjögren′s Syndrome, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Systemic Sclerosis, CREST syndrome, Polymyositis/Dermatomyositis, Vasculitis, Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome, and various overlap syndromes of these diseases.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 20 analytes in human serum and plasma samples.

Analytes included: β2-Glycoprotein, C1q, CENP-B (Centromere Protein B), CENP-A (Centromere Protein A), Jo-1, Ku, Mi-2, Myeloperoxidase (MPO), PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen A), PL-12 (Alanyl-tRNA synthetase), PM/Scl 100, Proteinase 3, RNP (Ribonucleoprotein), RNP/Smith (RNP/Sm), Ribosomal P, Scl-70, Sm, SSB/La (Sjögren′s Syndrome-related antigen B/La), SSA/Ro60 (Sjögren′s Syndrome-related antigen A/Ro60 kDa), SSA/Ro52 (Sjögren′s Syndrome-related antigen A/Ro52 kDa)

Note: This is a qualitative assay.Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity and precision.

Features and Benefits

  • Comprehensive Autoantibody Profiling: Detects 20 relevant autoantibodies associated with a wide spectrum of autoimmune diseases, including lupus, Sjögren′s Syndrome, systemic sclerosis, and MCTD.
  • Qualitative Multiplex Assay Format: Designed for qualitative detection, allowing researchers to assess the presence or absense of autoantibodies in a single run.
  • Built-In Assay Controls: Includes four assay control beads in the base kit to ensure assay integrity.
  • Configurable Panel Design: Select specific analytes from the panel to tailor the assay to your study needs, enhancing flexibility and cost-efficiency.
  • Supports Autoimmune Disease Research: Enables detection of autoantibodies that are associated with disease activity and overlap syndromes, supporting mechanistic studies.

Immunology multiplex assays, like MILLIPLEX® assays, allow researchers to investigate more immune biomarkers simultaneously, saving time and resources.

Multiplex analysis of autoantibodies, such as MILLIPLEX® multiplex assays, helps advance research by detecting multiple autoantibodies like cytokine autoantibodies, autoimmune autoantibodies, and cancer autoantibodies at once to give researchers a full picture of analyte concentrations.

MILLIPLEX® multiplex assays provide a comprehensive catalog of biomarkers, offering unique analytes not available from other Luminex® assay suppliers.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
