Application

EX-CELL® CDCHO FUSION is a chemically defined, animal-component free medium developed forthe long-term growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. The absence of anylarge macromolecules allows for isolation and purification of secreted proteinsfrom the cells.

Features and Benefits

  • This medium is supplied without L-glutamine to aidin media stability, to avoid L-glutamine degradation that causes ammoniabuild-up, and to provide an appropriate medium for the culture of CHO cellsusing the Glutamine Synthetase, or GS System™.
  • Thismedium does not contain hypoxanthine or thymidine to allow for its use withdihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) gene amplification systems.

Preparation Note

Formulated to contain 20.1 grams of powder per liter of medium.
