Virus studies: Infectious pancreatic necrotis virus and Channel catfish virus and channel catfish virus

Biochem/physiol Actions

Derived from the trunk tissue (excluding fins) of a 2 year old Brown Bullhead fish. These cells will tolerate a temperature range of 4-34°C. The optimal temperature range for cell proliferation is 25-30°C. BB is susceptible to infectious pancreatic necrosis virus and channel catfish virus.

Preparation Note

EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
