The cells produce a low level of CEA: 0.6ng/1,000,000 cells in 10 days. Cells are tumorigenic in nude mice. Established from a grade IV ulcerating tumour encircling the bowel of an 82 year old Caucasian female. HLA = A32, A33, B27, B35
Preparation Note
L15 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; No CO2; 37°C.
