Biochem/physiol Actions

Established from the Merwin plasma cell tumour-II carried in BALB/c mice. Resembles the parent tumor in that they both produce fully assembled gamma globulin molecules (IgG2b) as well as half molecules, light chain dimers and free light chains. The MPC-11 produces 5-6 picograms of IgG2b per cell per minute.

Preparation Note

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Horse Serum (HS).
Maintain cultures between 2-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
