Application
CTLL-2 has been used in CTLL-2 cell proliferation assay to determine the presence of T-cell cytokines.
Biochem/physiol Actions
CTLL is a subclone of T cells derived from a C57bl/6 mouse. The cells require IL-2 for growth and are used to assay for its presence in conditioned media.
Mouse C57b1/6 T cell
Preparation Note
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10-20 IU/ml Human Recombinant IL-2 + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 105 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Thaw ampoule and perform a cell count, spin out the DMSO and resuspend in an appropriate volume of media to give a cell concentration of 4-5 x 105 cells/ml.
