Mouse Sp2/0 x Mouse BALB/c spleen
NP cl.25 monoclonal antibody was produced in vitro by fusing mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells derived from BALB/c mice immunised with purified measles virus. NP cl.25 is negative for haemagglutination and hemolysin inhibition as well as neutralisation assays and gives immunofluorescence only on fixed tissue. It has been used for measuring synthesis and topological accumulation of measles virus antigen during the lytic cycle.

Preparation Note

Maintain cultures between 1-5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C
RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
