Biochem/physiol Actions
DMS 92 was obtained from a bone marrow aspirate of an untreated 39 year old male at time of diagnosis. The isolated cells were identified as small cell carcinoma of the lung (SCLC). DMS 92 cells secrete adrenocorticotropin (ACTH), bombesin (BN), oxytocin-neurophysin (OT-NP) and 17 β-estradiol. Cells produce tumours in athymic nude mice.

Preparation Note
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
Waymouth′s MB 752/1 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (Heat Inactivated).
