Biochem/physiol Actions

MYB proto-oncogene like 2/v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog-like 2 (MYBL2/B-MYB) protein regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and DNA repair. It participates in DNA replication in embryonic stem cells. MYBL2 protein can modulate stem cell genes. MYBL2 gene expression is altered in breast, ovarian, liver, colon, rectal, blood, brain, and bladder cancers. MYBL2 affects cell cycle progression and apoptosis in a regulated manner. It serves as a cell cycle modulator in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Current research in translational medicine, 66(1), 27-32 (2017-12-25)
In this study, we aimed to assess the association between MYBL2 expression/transcription regulatory activity (TRA) and overall survival (OS) in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to explore the factors related to B-Myb TRA. Bioinformatic analysis was performed based

The MYBL2 gene, also known as B-MYB, is essential to regulate vital cellular processes including cell proliferation, differentiation and DNA repair. Changes in these pathways can facilitate cancer development and as such targeting these processes represent an effective method to
