General description
The antibody DR-4-02 recognizes TRAIL-R1 (DR4), a human death receptor 4 (468 amino acids) expressed in most human tissues (spleen, peripheral blood leucocytes, thymus) and in a variety of tumour-derived cell lines.
Immunogen
Fusion protein containing the extracellular part of TRAIL-R1 and the constant part of the heavy chain of the human IgG1
Application
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working dilution is 3-5 μg/mL of sample. Indicated dilution is recommended starting point for use of this product. Working concentrations should be determined by the investigator.
Features and Benefits
Evaluate our antibodies with complete peace of mind. If the antibody does not perform in your application, we will issue a full credit or replacement antibody. Learn more.
Physical form
Solution in azide free phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4; 0.2 um filter sterilized. Endotoxin level is less than 0.01 EU/μg of the protein, as determined by the LAL test.

Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a cytotoxic cytokine that induces cancer cell death by binding to TRAIL receptors. Because of its selective cytotoxicity toward cancer cells, TRAIL therapeutics, such as recombinant TRAIL and agonistic antibodies targeting TRAIL receptors

The tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) selectively induces apoptosis in the majority of tumor cells, whilst sparing normal cells. However, the potential use of TRAIL in the treatment of cancer is limited by the inevitable emergence of drug resistance.
