Zuclomiphene is a mixed agonist of estrogen receptor responsible for the estrogenic activity of clomiphene and therefore the common side effects sometimes seen in males. Similarly, to clomiphene and enclomiphene, zuclomiphene blocks Ebola virus entry and infection in tissue culture cells and affords up to 90% protection in the mouse model of Ebola virus disease.
