General description

Saybolt colour (ASTM colour 12) reference standard is a certified reference material (CRM). This liquid colour reference standard is produced, packaged and stored following ISO 17034. Please note that the value stated on this page is nominal. All certified values for the current lots of all Saybolt colour reference standards can be found on the Paragon Scientific webpage.

Application

Colour Reference Standard Saybolt 12 is used to calibrate colour measuring equipment such as colorimeters, employed in colour control experiments of process industry products. It may be used as a colour standard in spectroscopic methods to test the quality of petroleum products.
