ABSTRACT

Two novel indole-containing allocolchicinoids were prepared from naturally occurring colchicine exploiting the Curtius rearrangement and tandem Sonogashira coupling/Pd-catalyzed cyclization as the key transformations. Their cytotoxic properties, apoptosis-inducing activity, tubulin assembly inhibition and short-time cytotoxic effects were investigated.
