与甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酯制备螯合树脂，用于选择性去除和回收工业废水中的金属离子。
作为试剂，制备蒎烯衍生的亚氨基二乙酸（PIDA），该产物用作配体，从相应烯烃合成非对映选择性环氧乙基C（sp³）硼酸。
多壁碳纳米管（MWCNT）表面官能化过程中，进一步作为吸附剂，分离重金属离子。
