Ytterbium ,(III) acetate tetrahydrate is a high-purity (99.95% trace metals basis) rare earth metal salt that appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder. It is readily soluble in water and polar solvents, making it a convenient source of Yb³⁺ ions for doped nanomaterials. Due to its thermal stability and solubility, it is used in the synthesis of advanced materials such as nanoparticles, luminescent materials, and thin films. (1) (2). Our Ytterbium(III) acetate tetrahydrate 99.9% trace metals basis is suitable for the following applications.

应用

Ytterbium(III) acetate tetrahydrate can be used as:
  • A precursor in the synthesis of β-NaYF₄:Er³⁺,Yb³⁺ core nanoparticles.
  • As a dopant in the synthesis of Yb(III)-doped phenylethylammonium lead bromide hybrid perovskite.
  • A precursor in the sol–gel synthesis to prepare nanoscopic ytterbium fluoride (YbF₃).
  • The synthesized YbF₃ is suitable for use in optics and in development of inorganic–organic nanocomposites.
  • Dopant Precursor to supply Yb³⁺ sensitizer ions for the synthesis of lanthanide-doped downconversion nanoparticles.
