成纤维细胞生长因子2(FGF-2)属于肝素结合生长因子家族。它位于中胚层和神经外胚层起源的细胞以及一些肿瘤细胞中。FGF-2有四种亚型。它由四个半胱氨酸残基、多个碱性残基和两个活性位点组成。FGF-2蛋白质是由十二个反平行β折叠片组成的三角金字塔结果。FGF-2染色体位于染色体4q28.1。
