General description

U1小核糖核蛋白70 kDa(U1-70K)是在U1 snRNP核心中发现的三种特定蛋白之一,其中包括在所有U snRNP中发现的至少七种核心蛋白和三种特定蛋白:U1-70K,U1-A和U1-C。U1-70K通过将U1-snRNA的环I区与其RPM(RNA识别基序)结合域结合,参与介导前mRNA剪接。此外,其RNA结合结构域U1-70K还包含两个富含精氨酸的区域,这些区域带有酸性或丝氨酸残基,被认为具有反式作用。选择性剪接产生4种已知的亚型。截短形式的U1-70K无法结合RNA。
