General description
乳糖肉汤是一种不含抑制剂的颗粒状培养基，用于大肠菌群（尤其是大肠埃希菌）和沙门氏菌富集的推定检测。该颗粒可确保在水中快速均匀地溶解，还可以防止培养基结块和吸入空气中的粉末。乳糖的利用表现为产生胀气。释放的胀气收集在 Durham试管中。存在于培养基中的蛋白胨为生物体提供含氮和碳化合物，长链氨基酸和其他必需营养素。乳糖是大肠菌群的可发酵碳水化合物。
