The MAS-100 ISO MH® Control unit with Profibus, 1 head is designed to monitor the microbial contamination of the air in isolators and RABS but can also be used as fixed point sampling in cleanrooms. Like all other MAS-100 air samplers, it′s based on the Andersen impaction principle. The control unit with electronic and moving blower parts can be located outside the critical zone, while the single sampling head for standard 90 to 100 mm Petri dishes collect samples in the containment zone. The tubing length can be up to 10 m when used with VHP decontamination or up to 50 m without.
The innovative double valve system enables the sampling heads to be integrated into the decontamination process with VHP. Each unit has both an air and a sterilization pump that operate autonomously.
The fully automatic calibration of the device guarantees maximum efficiency and accuracy. The system measures the air flow and regulates it to a constant value of 100 liters/min. These systems have the highest airflow accuracy of ±2.5%, compared to others that can be as high as ±10%. The instruments are designed and built according to GAMP 5 and are independently validated according to ISO 14698-1 with very good physical efficiency providing a D50 value below 1.1μm and a high biological efficiency result. The efficiencies and the D50 values are independent of the tube length and are comparable to the other members of the MAS-family.
This version is equipped with one valve for one sampling head and RS232, USB and digital IN/OUT and Profibus interfaces for communication. In case another communication interface is required, also MAS-100 ISO MH® Control unit with Ethernet, 1 head with Ethernet interface is available.
The type of sample base (standard or easy clean version) as well as the perforated lids can be selected separately according to the specific needs of the sample location and workflow.
