General description

DTT是水溶性巯基保护剂。它使单硫醇保持还原状态，定量还原二硫化物。最广泛用于研究蛋白质二硫化物的二硫化物交换反应。DTT容易透过细胞膜。在体外保护蛋白巯基并恢复巯基氧化所失去的酶活性。作为还原剂，它在将二硫化物还原为硫醇时发生环化，因此无需过量还原剂即可“驱动”反应完成。如果之后要测定游离硫醇，则必须通过透析或其他合适的方法除去过量还原剂。氧化二硫苏糖醇：≤0.5%.
