α,β-Adrenergic agonist. A vasoconstrictive agent that causes down-regulation of angiotensin II receptors. Oxidation sensitive.

Preparation Note

Addition of sodium bisulfite (at a final concentration of 0.1%) is necessary to prevent oxidation.
