General description
eMcollect Sponge is a sterile sampling device designed for use in the food industry. It consists of a premium quality cellulose sponge measuring 8 x 4 cm and 1.2 to 1.6 cm thick. The sponge collects samples from carcasses and work surfaces in food industries. BufferedPeptone water calibrated to a dose of 10 mL is used as a diluent to ensure proper sampling and analysis. The sponge is packaged in a blue pre-cut sampling bag that is easy to open and features a large writing area for sample information, along with an adhesive closure label. Each unit is sterilized by gamma rays to ensure safety and traceability.
Application
eMcollect Sponge is primarily used to check the environment during food production, particularly where there is alow probability or absence of disinfectant. It is effective in detecting pathogens such as Listeria and Salmonella.
