General description
eMcollect Sponge is a sterile sampling device designed for use in the food industry. It consists of a premium quality cellulose sponge measuring 8 x 4 cm and 1.2 to 1.6 cm thick. The sponge collects samples from carcasses and work surfaces in food industries. BufferedPeptone water calibrated to a dose of 10 mL is used as a diluent to ensure proper sampling and analysis. The sponge is packaged in a blue pre-cut sampling bag that is easy to open and features a large writing area for sample information, along with an adhesive closure label. Each unit is sterilized by gamma rays to ensure safety and traceability.
