General description

40 kDa
小鼠连接蛋白40是一种含有358个氨基酸的间隙连接蛋白,预测的分子量约为40 kDa。它在肺、心脏和皮肤中显著表达(见综述:Kumar & Giula 1996; White, 1995; Evans, 1994; Beyer , 1990; Henneman, 1992; Traub, 1994; Goliger & Paul 1994)。一个间隙连接由紧密堆积的跨膜通道对簇组成,即连接子,低分子量的材料通过该通道从一个细胞扩散到相邻细胞。连接子由连接蛋白的六聚体组成。

Immunogen

抗连接蛋白40是通过靶向小鼠C×40(2)细胞质结构域内的C端19个氨基酸的肽序列获得的。肽序列在人和大鼠Cx40(100%),鸡Cx42(77%),人Cx50(87%),大鼠Cx50(81%)和绵羊Cx49(87%)中是保守的。
