General description
神经生成素是参与指定神经元分化的bHLH转录因子家族。它们与无调性果蝇有关。神经生成素（ngns）构成了这些与无调性相关的基因家族之一。在神经嵴细胞中，与无调性相关的神经生成素家族对于感觉谱系特别重要（神经生成素对于背根神经节的形成至关重要），而achaete-scute同源物ash1（Mash1）对于自主神经发生方面很重要（Mash1对于去甲肾上腺素能分化至关重要）。神经生成素3促进胰腺发育。
