General description

神经生成素是参与指定神经元分化的bHLH转录因子家族。它们与无调性果蝇有关。神经生成素(ngns)构成了这些与无调性相关的基因家族之一。在神经嵴细胞中,与无调性相关的神经生成素家族对于感觉谱系特别重要(神经生成素对于背根神经节的形成至关重要),而achaete-scute同源物ash1(Mash1)对于自主神经发生方面很重要(Mash1对于去甲肾上腺素能分化至关重要)。神经生成素3促进胰腺发育。
