General description
RNA脱甲基酶ALKBH5也称为烷基化DNA修复蛋白alkB同源物5和α-酮戊二酸依赖性双加氧酶alkB同源物5。ALKBH5是一种双加氧酶，可使RNA脱甲基，特别是N（6）-甲基腺苷（m6A）RNA，这会影响mRNA的加工和输出，是精子发生所必需的。ALKBH5在肺，睾丸，胰腺，脾脏和卵巢中表达最高，但在其他组织中广泛表达。
