General description

SLC5A3(也称钠/肌醇共转运蛋白、钠离子(+)肌醇共转运蛋白、钠/肌醇共转运蛋白1(SMT),或溶质载体家族 5 成员 3)由SLC5A3基因编码,它是重要的胞内转运蛋白和信号传导的介导因子,可介导肌醇的胞内聚集。肌醇化合物对于细胞质和胞内细胞器的细胞信号传导很重要。它是质膜和细胞质内维持磷脂酰二磷酸肌醇合成第二信使(如三磷酸肌醇(IP3)和甘油二酯)所必需的。在细胞器中,肌醇也是 IP3 和PIP2合成复杂信号传导磷脂和磷酸肌醇的前体。此外,SLC5A3会由渗透休克上调,并由能量消耗下调,它可作为细胞应激的分子传感器。
