该抗体与CD24抗原反应，CD24抗原是一种高度糖基化的分子，在还原性和非还原性SDS凝胶电泳上均以35-45 kDa的宽条带迁移。 CD24通过糖基磷脂酰肌醇（GPI）锚附着在细胞膜上，并在B细胞发育的多个阶段表达，从骨髓CD34阳性pro-B细胞小室开始，一直持续到成熟的表面IgM阳性/IgD阳性B细胞。 CD24也表达于绝大多数B细胞系急性淋巴细胞白血病，B细胞慢性淋巴细胞白血病和B细胞非霍奇金′淋巴瘤。 在正常脾脏中，外套层淋巴细胞为CD24强阳性，但生发中心细胞为CD24阴性或CD24弱阳性。
