在脑组织的免疫组织化学染色中显示了整个大脑中树突树的选择性染色。在perkinje神经元中，染色仅限于初始树突段远端的树突。在成熟的Perkinje细胞中没有细胞体染色，但是新生大鼠发育中的Perkinje细胞的细胞体染色很强。未检测到轴突或非神经元细胞染色。通过免疫印迹测定，可与所有形式的MAP2（MAP2a~280 kDa、MAP2b~280 kDa和MAP2c~70 kDa）发生特异性反应。没有观察到与其他MAP或微管蛋白的交叉反应性。
