General description

囊泡谷氨酸转运蛋白2(VGLUT2)是一种钠依赖性无机磷酸盐共转运蛋白,参与星形胶质细胞释放钙依赖性谷氨酸。它在表现出经典兴奋性特征的突触中仅在位于突触小泡的神经元子集中表达。在缺乏VGLUT1的大脑区域中发现了VGLUT2 mRNA,VGLUT1是一种相关蛋白,也显示出钠依赖性无机磷酸盐共转运蛋白活性。
