General description
胆盐七叶苷琼脂（BEA）是一种差异及选择性培养基，主要用于根据生物体水解七叶树素的潜力而对D链球菌和肠球菌进行区分。BEA由oxygall（胆汁盐，第一选择性成分）和叠氮化物（第二选择性成分）组成，前者可抑制革兰氏阳性菌的生长，而后者可抑制革兰氏阴性菌的生长。BEA还包含养分柠檬酸铁和七叶苷，其中七叶苷是一种差异成分，也是一种在水解后荧光会消失的荧光化合物。BEA可用于胆汁七叶苷检测，基于利用可产生七叶苷酶的微生物将七叶苷水解成七叶内酯（6，7-二羟基香豆素）和葡萄糖。
Application
胆盐七叶苷叠氮钠琼脂是一种用于分离和推测鉴定粪便链球菌的选择性培养基。
Preparation Note
将56.65g悬浮于1 l蒸馏水中。加热至沸腾以完全溶解培养基。在121°C加热15分钟进行高压灭菌。
