General description
小鼠白蛋白基因定位于小鼠 5 号染色体。 它编码白蛋白，白蛋白是血浆中最主要的蛋白质。白蛋白是由成熟的肝脏产生的。小鼠白蛋白基因启动子区域至少包含六个针对特定 DNA 结合蛋白的结合位点（A 至 F）。
Application
来自小鼠血清的白蛋白已用于探针 2 的标记，用于通过一维电泳表征基质金属蛋白酶 12。它也已用于酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA）中的校准物和对照品的制备。
Biochem/physiol Actions
白蛋白促进胰腺星状细胞中细胞质脂质小滴的形成和 3T3-L1 细胞的脂肪细胞分化。此外，它有效调节脂肪生成转录因子、过氧化物酶体增殖物激活受体（PPAR-γ）和（CCAAT/增强子结合蛋白（C/EBP））的生物学活性。
