General description

溴酚蓝在酸性水溶液中以磺化羟基醌的形式存在，又称四溴酚磺酞。溴酚蓝是一种pH指示剂，并且是一种强蓝色染料。它具有轻微的负电荷并且可沿与DNA相同的方向迁移，允许用户对分子在凝胶中移动的进程进行监测。不同的凝胶组成具有不同的迁移速率。
