Application
罗丹明123用于：
- 作为P-糖蛋白（P-gp）的底物，可在荧光积累测定中读出功能性转运体活性
- 标记细胞，通过流式细胞术估计P-gp的表达情况
- 在转运研究中，添加至顶端到基底外侧（AB-转运）或基底外侧到顶端（BA-转运）
- 检测线粒体膜电位（ΔΨm）
Biochem/physiol Actions
罗丹明123通常作为官能报告物，报告流式细胞术中的P-糖蛋白（P-gp）。
最常用于流式细胞术的荧光染料，可用作Pgp的功能性报告分子。在癌症治疗中，MDR蛋白的功能测定是比MDR蛋白表达水平更好的预后指标。Rh 123可用于多参数分析而无荧光干扰，可与常用蛋白质标记染料组合使用，如PE-Cy5和AMCA（7-氨基-4-甲基香豆素-3-乙酸）。近期报道表明，Rh123也可能是MRP1的底物。
