This cell line is an Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transformed lymphoblastoid line and is part of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Typed Collection maintained by the European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC). HLA-Typing Data is available for this cell line.

NOTE: Both the cell line and DNA from the cell line may be available for this product. Please choose -1VL or VIAL for cells, or -DNA-5UG for DNA.

RPMI 1640 (R0883) + 2mM Glutamine (G7513) + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (F2442). Once a growing culture is established the FBS concentration can be reduced to 10%.

Maintain cultures between 3x10⁵ - 2x10⁶ cells/ml, 5% CO2, 37 °C. Upon resuscitation remove cryoprotectant - centrifuge at 300 x g for 5 minutes and re-suspend the cell pellet in fresh culture medium.

This cell line is part of the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC), an international repository managed by the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA). Only the genomic DNA extracted from the cell line is available for purchase by commercial organizations, and not the cell line itself. No licensing agreement is required when the DNA extracted from this cell line are used for internal research purposes only.
