General description
单克隆抗ATG5抗体（小鼠IgG2a同种型）来源于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞和以与匙孔血蓝蛋白（KLH）偶联人Atg5的免疫的BALB/c小鼠脾细胞融合产生的杂交瘤ATG5-18。自噬相关蛋白5（ATG5）基因位于人类染色体6q21，编码32 kDa的蛋白。

Biochem/physiol Actions
Atg5（也称为Apg5）是一种介导自噬所需的32 kDa蛋白。研究报道，Atg12-Atg5-Atg16复合物定位于自噬体前体，在自噬体形成中起重要作用。此外，已知通过钙蛋白酶切割产生的Atg5片段的片段具有促凋亡特性。
