Biochem/physiol Actions
SLC35C1 (FUCT1) is a GDP-fucose transporter found in the Golgi apparatus that is essential for the regulation of fucosylation of glycans. Low expression of SLC35C1 results in the production of N-glycans deficient in both fucose and sialic acid.
