Biochem/physiol Actions

General description

B23（也称为NPM，核仁磷酸蛋白，numatrin或NO38）是一种磷蛋白，广泛表达于所有类型的细胞中，位于与前核糖体颗粒相关的核仁的颗粒区域中。已发现该蛋白质参与多种核功能，如前核糖体颗粒的组装和/或核内转运、细胞质/核转运、DNA聚合酶A活性的调节和中心体复制。B23的磷酸化由细胞周期蛋白复合物CDK2/细胞周期蛋白E介导。
磷酸化将导致B23与中心体分离并启动细胞有丝分裂期间的中心体复制。B23还参与原骨髓细胞白血病，其中B23的基因与视黄酸受体α（RARa）融合，产生含有这两个基因的部分的融合蛋白（60-7.0kDa）。
