General description
KIAA0907, also known as bring lots of money (BLOM)7 is a KH-domain containing protein. It is a component of the spliceosome, and also acts as a SNEVPrp19-Pso4-interacting partner. Thus, it is a splicing factor. This gene is localized to human chromosome 1q22. It is transcribed in multiple isoforms such as BLOM7α, -β and -γ. These three isoforms differ only in their C-termini.

Biochem/physiol Actions
KIAA0907, also known as bring lots of money (BLOM)7 functions in the alternative 3′- and 5′- splice site selection. It is a part of pre-mRNA splicing. It also acts as a SNEVPrp19/Pso4-interacting partner, and SNEVPrp19/Pso4 is involved in controlling the life span of human endothelial cells, the ubiquitin proteasome system, pre-mRNA splicing and DNA damage repair.
