Biochem/physiol Actions
ZEB1 (锌指E盒结合同源框1)是一种EMT(上皮间充质转化)转录因子,控制E-钙粘蛋白的表达。它是E-钙粘蛋白的抑制剂,因此诱导EMT。因此,ZEB1 在肿瘤侵袭和转移中起重要作用。ZEB1 的表观遗传抑制可能成为克服人乳腺癌中耐药性的关键工具。该基因的突变与后部多形性角膜营养不良和Fuchs′角膜内皮营养不良(FECD6)相关。ZEB1 基因位于人染色体 10p11.2。
