Application
Rabbit polyclonal anti-ITGAE antibody is used to tag integrin, α E (CD103) for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques such as immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of integrin, α E (CD103) in the assembly and function of integrin αEβ7 which is involved in processes such as the binding E-cadherins.

General description
Anti-ITGAE antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Integrin, α E (ITGAE, CD103) is an integrin polypeptide which combines with integrin β 7 to from the heterodimeric integrin molecule αEβ7. The primary ligand of integrin αEβ7 is the adhesion molecule E-cadherin expressed by mature epithelial cells. αEβ7 is believe to be involved in functions such as T cell homing.
