Application

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. Biochem/physiol Actions
ROCK1 (Rho-kinase) participates in several fundamental cellular functions, like proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, contraction, metabolism and apoptosis. It controls the phosphorylation of myosin light chain and acto-myosin contractility. It serves as a key effector kinase of Rho GTPases, and plays major roles in the modulation of cancer invasion and metastasis.
