Biochem/physiol Actions
DEP结构域5(DEPDC5)是哺乳动物雷帕霉素靶蛋白复合体1(mTORC1)的负性调控因子。具有GTP酶活性。DEPDC基因突变会导致常染色体显性家族性癫痫伴游走性局灶性发作(familial focal epilepsy with variable foci, FFEVF)、家族遗传性颞叶癫痫(familial temporal lobe epilepsy,FTLE)和常染色体显性夜间发作性额叶癫痫(autosomal dominant nocturnal frontal epilepsy,ADNFLE)。

General description
DEPDC5(DEP domain containing 5)基因编码含DEP结构域蛋白5。DEPDC5蛋白由5个功能结构域组成,包括N末端结构域、增强核苷酸酶活性的空间位阻结构域、DEP(蓬乱蛋白、产卵缺陷10蛋白和血小板-白细胞C激酶底物2蛋白)结构域、结构轴结合(structural axis for binding arrangement)结构域和C末端结构域。DEPDC5基因位于人染色体22q12.2-q12.3。
