噻唑蓝四唑蓝(MTT)可用于细胞增殖的检测。 MTT产生一种淡黄色的溶液，通过活细胞的线粒体脱氢酶将其转化为深蓝色、不溶于水的MTT福尔马赞。该蓝色晶体可溶于酸化异丙醇，可采用比色法测定其570 nm处的强度。

噻唑蓝四唑蓝(MTT)可用于细胞增殖的检测。 MTT产生一种淡黄色的溶液，通过活细胞的线粒体脱氢酶将其转化为深蓝色、不溶于水的MTT福尔马赞。该蓝色晶体可溶于酸化异丙醇，可采用比色法测定其570 nm处的强度。MTT已被用作组织化学/细胞化学试剂以及用于检测NAD。由于所使用的氰化物陷阱可与阳离子结合，组织中的ADP-连接酶系统无法采用MTT检测。 MTT迅速还原为福尔马赞，福尔马赞与镍、铜和钴螯合;钴螯合物已可用于氧化体系。
