General description
ONCOMLS (Oncometabolite Library of Standards) is a collection of 96 high-purity (>95%) small molecule metabolite standards supplied in an economical, ready-to-use format. These compounds are specifically curated to represent key oncometabolites — a class of intracellular metabolic signaling molecules produced by both cancer cells and non-cancer cells within the tumor microenvironment that are directly implicated in tumor growth, survival, immune evasion, and epigenetic reprogramming. The ONCOMLS library provides researchers with a rigorously curated, analytically validated set of authentic metabolite standards that span the major classes of oncologically relevant small molecules — including amines, amino acids and peptides, bile acids and sterols, carbohydrates, carboxylic acids, fatty acids and acyls, nucleosides, and steroids. Each compound is provided as a pre-weighed, dried standard at 5 µg per well, offering sufficient material for multiple mass spectrometry injections. The library is formatted in a single 96-well polypropylene deep-well plate with alphanumeric assigned positions, enabling seamless integration with both manual and automated liquid handling workflows.

Suitable for manual and automated work flows. Metabolite libraries are most commonly used to provide retention times and spectra for key metabolic compounds, and help optimize analytical mass spectrometry protocols with a focus on metabolite research and metabolomic studies.

Preparation Note
Spin down the contents of the 96-well plate in a 96-well plate holder centrifuge at 3,000 rpm for 2–3 minutes to ensure all dried material is deposited at the bottom of each well prior to reconstitution.
Compounds in Plate 1, Rows A–D can be solubilized using ethanol; compounds in Rows E–H are water soluble. Pipette liquid up and down in the well 2–3 times to facilitate complete solubilization.
The compounds can either be used as standards and injected individually or mixed in such a way that the entire library may be examined with reasonable efficiency.
