CKII beta (casein kinase II subunit beta) is the beta subunit of the heterotetrameric kinase, casein kinase II (CKII) which is composed of an alpha subunit, an alpha′ subunit, and two beta subunits. CKII localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus and is involved in signal transduction and cell cycle progression.
