General description
Rab5蛋白(Ras-related protein Rab-5A)是一种小GTP酶，有三种亚型- Rab5A、Rab5B和Rab5C。在多种分泌细胞中上调表达。位于人类染色体3p24。
小鼠抗Rab5单克隆抗体（小鼠IgG3亚型）来源于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞（NS1细胞）与对应于人Rab5蛋白C端、与KLH偶联合成肽免疫的BALB/c小鼠脾细胞相互融合而产生的Rab5-65杂交瘤细胞。Rab5在人体组织中广泛表达。定位于初级内体，也存在于细胞质膜上。

对应于人Rab5蛋白的C端、与KLH偶联的合成肽。
Physical form
溶于0.01 M磷酸盐缓冲液（pH 7.4）中，含有15 mM叠氮化钠。

Biochem/physiol Actions
GTP结合的活性Rab5募集的蛋白包括Rabaptin-5和早期内涵体抗原1(EEA1)。
Rab5（Ras相关蛋白Rab-5A）蛋白可控制内体运输。Rab5A过表达可预测结直肠癌患者的肿瘤转移和不良预后。它可调节常见Rab5效应器，控制分泌通路。可控制初级内体之间的同型融合以及内吞囊泡和初级内体之间的融合。
